Almost everyday I drove past some of the best pizza in Roanoke and never even knew it. Their building is kind of far back from the road and it doesn’t jump out at you. I found it on google one day when I was searching for pizza via mapview. I saw a marker pin on the corner of Brambleton and Brandon and clicked on it thinking it was an oddball result to something like Mark Pizza Attorney at Law. To my surprise it was legit so I went to their website and found that because it was Tuesday the large 1-topping pizza was only $7.99 for carryout (same special on Sundays). On top of that there is a 10% cash discount so $8 covers it!
Here we are a year later and I’m still eating the crap out of it. They don’t use frozen dough and you can see them tossing it up in the air in the back. The crust is thin and just right. It’s a perfect ratio of bread to toppings. The star of the show is that sauce though. All sweet and tasty and stuff. It’s seriously so amazing I would drink it like V8 Juice. I’d do a keg-stand of it, if for some reason it was ever in a keg. That’s my kind of party!
If you order pizza from Dominos or Papa Johns on Brambleton Ave then stop it. You can get way better pizza from Goodfellaz right down the street. If you’re thinking about swinging by Little Ceasars at Towers then maybe there are deeper issues and the best way to take a step in the right direction is to step on the gas pedal and drive over to Goodfellaz Pizza. It’s right up the road past that ridiculous intersection at Main St.
